For over forty years, FCNQ Construction Inc. (FCNQ), a subsidiary of the Fédération des co-opératives du Nouveau-Québec, has responded to the construction needs of the North and has been dedicated to its sustainable development. As one of the few Inuit-owned general contractors of Nunavik, FCNQ has continued to use the wide-ranging experience it has developed over the years as a builder of the North to the benefit of its affiliated members and to that of other Northern organizations, through tendered business and collaborations.

FCNQ is a well-known company of Nunavik, best recognized for our support of our 14 member co-operatives in their construction and building-maintenance needs. Through this support, we are committed to the sustainable development of Nunavik, actively involved in various Inuit business initiatives, hiring and offering training opportunities to local ressources to the maximum extent.
OUR CUSTOMERS
Through the years, FCNQ has successfully accepted and completed construction projects for member co-ops, affiliated companies, Provincial entities (such as the Justice department and the department of Transportation) , the Federal Government, the Kativik Regional Government, Landholding Corporations, Housing organizations, various mining and other corporations as well as for local businesses of Nunavik and Nunavut.
OUR FACILITIES
Headquartered are in Baie-d'Urfé, Quebec. We also operate a few semi-autonomous camps throughout Nunavik and Nunavut.
OUR EXPERIENCE
FCNQ Construction Inc. has developed a solid expertise as a general contractor on a multitude of projects: residential, institutional, industrial and commercial projects as well as civil projects including quarry developments, tank farms and site remediations. The logistics related to building in the North and the general complexity of modern constructions continue to be the core of what we do best. FCNQ has demonstrated a clear track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
FCNQ is also responsible for the construction and maintenance of the entirety of FCNQ's buildings.
From the smallest to the largest member Co-op, building inventories have shown continued growth over the years. We have built stores, warehouses, hotels, gas service stations, garages and other installations throughout the North for all of our members.
